Sunrise Beach, MO
Gary Lee Culver, age 52, of Sunrise Beach, Mo., passed away Sunday,
November 1, 2009, at the Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach,
Mo.
He was born November 25, 1956, in Independence, Missouri, the son of
Roney and Martha Brizendine Culver.
Gary was employed at Plastic Enterprises in Independence for 14 years
and most recently at Bambooze Bar and Grill in Sunrise Beach the last
two years.
He was a 1975 graduate of Truman High School in Independence. He loved
sports and his favorite teams were Mizzou and the Kansas City Chiefs.
He also enjoyed boating, wildlife, music, and living at the Lake of
the Ozarks.
Gary enjoyed life, especially family gatherings where he could spend
time with his nieces and nephews playing catch and walking in the woods.
He also enjoyed his visits with his mother.
He was a member of the Opened Door Christian Fellowship Church in Laurie,
Mo.
He is survived by his beloved long-time companion of 29 years, Judy
Baker of the home; his mother, Martha Culver of Independence, Missouri;
his sister, Shirlene Piker and husband Jerry of Laurie, Missouri; two
nieces; seven grand-nieces and nephews; and numerous friends. He will
be greatly missed by all. He was preceded in death by his father, Roney
Culver.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Thursday, November 5, at
the Cornerstone Church, 301 Southeast AA Highway, Blue Springs, Missouri.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m., Thursday, at the church.
Inurnment will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions are suggested
to the Opened Door Christian Fellowship Church in Laurie. Expressions

are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Laurie/Sunrise Beach Chapel.
