Barbara Jane Postnikoff of Independence,
Missouri, 49, died Wednesday, February 14, 2007, in Independence, Missouri.
Barbara was born April 4, 1957, in Saskatoon, Saskatche wan, Canada,
of Walter and Joy Postnikoff. She was the mother of three children.
She resided most of her life in Independence, Missouri. She received
a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Fine Arts from The University of Missouri-Kansas
City. Black and white photography was her passion, particularly Native
American ruins.
Barbara was called into the priesthood at The Community of Christ Church
and ordained on December 28, 1997. Barbara was the loving mother of
three children, John Nephi, Heidi Marie, and Lindsey Ana. She enjoyed
adventurous family vacations with her large family of five brothers
and sisters and their loving families. One of Barbara's major interests
was hunting for and collecting unusual antiques.
She was preceded in death by her son Nephi and her parents Joy and Walter
Postnikoff. One of Barbara's guiding quotes in life was "on the
way to my dreams I got lost, and found a better one." You may honor

Survivors include daughters, Heidi Olson and Lindsey and her husband
John Linthicum; sisters, Cindy and her husband Alan Holshouser, Judith
and husband Ron Yager; brothers, Mark and wife Cynthia Postnikoff, and
Joseph Postnikoff ; 10 nieces and nephews; and a large extended family.
Memorial Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday,
February 17, at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 East 39th Street, Independence,
